We are a Leadership Commonwealth Family School meeting on Tuesdays: September 9th, 2025 through April 21st, 2026 at St. Anna's Greek Orthodox Church.
A parent MUST attend each time with their child(ren).
At Bridges, we inspire members to discern and live true principles so they can strengthen, unify, heal and lead their families and communities.
We do this by:
Putting relationships first,
Building on true principles,
Teaching to the whole person,
Keeping heart and mind open, and
Keeping it simple.
We believe that faith cannot be seperated from the educational process.
Our definition of leadership is to affirm an individual's worth and potential so clearly that they can see it for themselves.
To lead in this way, our community draws from the educational principles found in A Thomas Jefferson Education: Teaching a Generation of Leaders for the Twenty-First Century by Oliver DeMille and the Thomas Jefferson Education (TJEd) Library.
It is vital that each adult member of Bridges understands the conceptual basis of our organization before becoming a member. Reading this book is a requirement before obtaining membership and before registering for classes. (You can still apply and then start reading).
If you haven't read it yet and aren't sure if you are up for it, start by listening to this audio on the seven keys. These are the foundational principles illustrated in the book. If you have already read it, good for you! Start reading Hero Education by Oliver DeMille.
To ensure excellence in leadership and teaching, our mentors are trained to enact these methods.
We aim to foster an adult centered
"Attachment Village"
because we believe:
"You can't parent (or teach) a child whose heart you don't have."
I am a mom of young kids, new to homeschooling, Bridges has been my first experience with co-ops and I am continually grateful for the friendships and mentoring I've received from other moms here. The learning experiences for my kids are exactly at their level. Most importantly, my kids, and myself, are loved and cared for by this community!
