Philosophy

At Bridges we follow the TJEd principle, You Not Them.

In order to help facilitate this principle we offer a once a week adult class studying something from of our core resources listed below.

"You can't parent a child whose heart you don't have."

What is Leadership Education?

Our definition of leadership is to affirm an individual's worth and potential so clearly that they can see it for themselves.

To lead in this way, our community draws from the educational principles found in A Thomas Jefferson Education: Teaching a Generation of Leaders for the Twenty-First Century by Oliver DeMille and the Thomas Jefferson Education (TJEd) Library.

To ensure excellence in leadership and teaching, our mentors are trained to enact the methods taught in the How to Mentor series by Oliver DeMille.
